LG to reveal the world’s largest LED TV in CES 2011

LG Electronics revealed its plans to bring in the world’s largest LED-backlit 3D LCD HDTV to the CES 2011 next week. The LZ9700 with its massively large 72-inch will support both 2D as well as 3D content. It will also feature TruMotion 400Hz to deliver a super-fast processing rate and smooth 3D images.

The Kindle 3 is officially the best selling product in Amazon’s history

The Kindle 3 recently dethroned ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ to become the best selling product in Amazon’s history. Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com founder and CEO stated, “We’re grateful to the millions of customers who have made the all-new Kindle the bestselling product in the history of Amazon — surpassing Harry Potter 7. We’re seeing that many of the people who are buying Kindles also own an LCD tablet.

Samsung sells 9.3 million Galaxy S phones and 1 million Galaxy Tabs

The Korean-giant Samsung Electronics, promised to sell 10 million Galaxy S units by the end of 2010. It looks like they may keep it. With over 9.3 million units sold world-wide (as of now), the company needs to sell only around 700,000 more units to reach the 10 million mark. Meanwhile, Samsung was also able to sell over 1 million Galaxy Tab units worldwide.

Microsoft sells 1.5 million Windows Phone 7 units in six weeks

Microsoft recently revealed a preliminary sales report for its latest Windows Phone 7 platform. As per Achim Ber, VP of business and marketing for WP7, the sales figures stands at 1.5 million units worldwide, since its launch on October 21 in Europe and November 8 in US and Canada. The total number of associated carriers worldwide is 60.

You can also get it for a subsidized rate with a two-year contract from T-Mobile for $199. Powered by Android 2.3 a.k.a. Time magazine names Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, as the ‘Person of Year’

Time magazine named Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook as the ‘ Person of Year’ for 2010.  Usually this is something that is awarded to politically powerful people or famous celebrities. At 26, Zuckerberg became the second youngest person to receive this ‘title’, the youngest being Charles Lindbergh (when he was 25) way back in 1927.
