Gigantic showy flowers are being placed at different cities in United States by Toyota as a part of the marketing campaign of its 2010 Toyota Prius. These temporary installations which emphasize the message “Harmony Between Man, Nature and Machine” were placed in Boston’s Prudential Plaza and will be seen in cities like New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Cute Robot DustCart makes waste management a breeze

This cute green Robot, named DustCart, specializes in collection of  garbage when summoned by any household within its service area. This robot has been designed for places where large garbage trucks cannot enter. It goes to the particular caller, asks for the ID, collects and then carries the trash to the waste disposal area. The picture shows the robot in Peccioli, Italy being tested.

Eco-friendly colorful 90% Bamboo Taxis introduced in Philippines

The colors remind us of parade floats but these are meant to be on the streets everyday. What you see are passenger vehicles which simply don’t look colorful and extraordinary but are made of  90% bamboo and run on coconut biodiesel. Introduced recently by Rustico Balderian, mayor of Tabontabon in Phillipines, the measure was taken so as to replace the pricey, fuel consuming, environment polluting, regular transportation with a more eco-friendly solution.
