Light Drop Wall Lamp promotes Water conservation

Till now we have come across ample lighting options that not only displayed different designs but also had ideas that promoted recycling[scrap lights, bottle lamps] and upcycling[cassette lamps, ink cartidge lamps]. The one discussed here brings our attention to the wonderful nature’s gift, water, as a form of energy. The design of this Light Drop wall lamp compels us to think about conserving our ‘precious’ water which is an inevitable requirement for all organisms.

Opera to launch version 10 on September 1, 2009

Opera has already released their browser version 10 – RC edition (Release Candidate). The estimated date of final release for the company’s flag ship browser is September 1. The software features a built in Opera Mail, Opera Turbo (for browsing in slow connection), Opera speed dial and tabbed browsing. “The latest iteration of Opera features a new design and more industry standards than you can shake an HTML 5.0 stick at.

Like the idea? What can be better than transforming discarded bottles into graduation gowns rather than let them pile up in a land fill. A few days back we had seen how ECOALF [a fabric from recycled PET bottles] were used in making trolleys and bags that simply showed us the way to be a smart [eco-friendly]consumer. LED Graffiti takes spray painting to a whole new level

Did you ever spray paint walls while coming back from school? Designing/painting on walls was always a lot of fun. But in the age of hi-tech gadgets and uber-powerful computers, spray painting has reached a new level of freedom. Check out the LED graffiti by designer Aissa Logerot. Although it looks like a real spray paint can, it isn’t one. The device uses a special LED light called halo which is dedicated to light-writing.
