The  10-meter telescope called BICEP (Background Imaging of Cosmic Extragalactic Polarization) keeps on collecting data on black matter and cosmic microwave background radiation.

Google launches Body Browser, the Google Earth of human body

The new Google Body Browser lets you fully explore the human body. The application is basically a detailed 3D model of the human body that shows various organs, muscles and bones. You can zoom in, zoom out, move around and explore the human body like never before. The application requires WebGL which is a 3D graphics API, and may not work properly in all the standard browsers yet.

Smart fabric could generate energy from the environment

Consider having a laptop with a fabric case wherein the case could power up the gadget on its own without the need of any external outlet. It could happen! Scientists from the University of Bolton’s Institute for Materials Research and Innovation (IMRI) have developed interactive fibers that respond to changes in the surrounding. Specifically, these special fibers are capable of generating electricity from wind, rain and even movement.

New formula uses bacteria to close gaps and cracks in concrete

The Atomium in Belgium

The Atomium located in Brussels was built for the Brussels World’s Fair in 1958. Just as the name suggests, the structure actually depicts an iron crystal molecule magnified by 165 billion times. Although the monument was built as an exhibit for six months marking the atomic era, it still stands today as a major tourist attraction, symbolizing modern architecture and Brussels.The Atomium which comprises of nine steel spheres with connecting tubes was designed by engineer André Waterkeyn.
