The Coral Soap imparts new look everyday with more use

We know that ordinary soaps after repeated use start losing the luster and shape, that it had when brand new. This concept called Coral Soap tries to get away from the ordinary soap experience by revealing patterns with more use. The soap from KAIST has hidden designs which starts surfacing, imparting a new look every time it is being used.

Internet Explorer 9′s new user interface photo leaked

Microsoft is working hard on its upcoming web browser a.k.a Internet Explorer 9. The company has already released 4 developer previews, but it hasn’t quite revealed how the software would look like…until now. A recent post by Microsoft Russia shows the above photo which as per Mary Jo Foley of ZDnet is likely a screenshot of the upcoming browser. The design seems to be more ‘minimalistic’ when compared to the other editions of IE. Whether this is because it is still in pre-beta, is unknown though.

Amazing Wall Illustrations

What do you think you are looking at? Honestly, I thought it was a gigantic and vibrant folding paper decoration suspended from the ceiling, just like you see them in parties. I was obviously wrong. Meant to look like a 3D form, it is actually a 2D painting, on two different walls and the ceiling. Called the Yellow Galaxy, this is one of the tricky and impressive artwork from Paper Donut.

Build Brooklyn in your room

Here’s some printed pillows from buildyourblock which allows anyone to decorate their sofa in Brooklyn street style. The images are from real photographs which include Corner Deli, Abandoned, Modern Complex, Brownstone One and Brownstone Two.They also come in a variety of colors.

The Longest Bench in Britain

Check out the longest bench built with thousands of reclaimed hardwood bars that runs along the town of Littlehampton’s beach. The colorful bench in West Sussex, Britain, was opened to the public on 30th July 2010. Conceived by Studio Weave it can accommodate around 300 people. Although the primary purpose of the bench is to let people sit and enjoy the beach, it does make  numerous twists and turns along its length to make it look like a piece of art as well.

Amazing “Icons of the web” shows the world’s most popular websites based on their icons

Have you ever visited Alexa.com? If you haven’t, you should check it out. It will give you the world ranking of all the active websites on the internet. But nmap.org has made it even more fun. Their script uses the icons of the top 300,000 (approx.) websites and stacks them up based on the website’s traffic. Here’s a look at the interactive version. The collection consists of data based on Alexa.com (early 2010). By the way the largest icon is that of Google, which is obvious, as it the world’s most popular website.

Touchscreen Apple iMac may be available sooner than you think

After checking out the iPad, has it ever crossed your mind…as to whether Apple will ever launch a touch-screen Macbook Pro or a touch-screen iMac? Well folks…here’s your answer! Apple secretly filed a patent for a touch-based iMac with flex base in Europe. Now the question is what Apple plans to do with the OS that will run on the new iMac. Will it be the plain Mac OS X (touch-optimized edition) or an advanced avatar of iOS?
