Many agree that the Nexus One is still one of the best Android mobile phones ever launched. Today Google unveiled its new avatar, the Nexus S. The device has been developed in collaboration with Samsung and would be available unlocked for $529. It will featured a new 4-inch curved super-AMOLED glass screen and will be powered by a 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor.
As per Google, there are almost 60,000 Android based cellphones being shipped every day, worldwide. Google CEO Eric Schmidt revealed this data at the Mobile World Congress. Considering this data is correct, this means that the total number of Android phones sold would be over 20 million a year. That’s a massive amount, which is enough to put Android ahead of all the iPhone sales by the end of 2010 or early 2011.
