The Table Chair can be used both as a table and a chair

The Table Chair designed by Thomas Feichtner is one of a kind furniture piece that serves both as a table and a chair. The side table with the black structural shape can be opened up when required to reveal an upholstered white leather seating structure wherein  “a mechanic safety lock prevents unexpected collapsing.” The chair rests on a chrome base.

Tron:Legacy inspired futuristic indoor setting

So how do you imagine a ‘Tron: Legacy’ inspired indoor setting? Look no further for what you are looking at is actually an ensemble of thoughts by different designers dedicated in producing a Tron themed interior with furniture and the like. Dubbed the ‘Safe House‘, it comprises of the living room, dining room, kitchen, entertainment area, bedroom, bathroom and even an outdoor space all designed keeping in mind the Tron look and feel.

The 3-in-one Bachelor Chair

Multifunctional furniture is always welcome when you have to cram up everything in not-so spacious rooms. That is why when we came across this step-stool we were really impressed.  Called the Bachelor’s Chair, it is a step stool which can be used as a chair and more conveniently as a ironing board whenever you need to work on some creased and crumpled garments.

T Chair, the chair inspired by Tetris

T Chair is a colorful chair constructed from modules shaped in the form of “tetrominoes” from the video game Tetris. The chair comprises of five separate fiberglass pieces that also makes it a light weighted furniture. T Chair by Gabriel Canas either comes in multi-colored version or black and white.

Oil can cupboard

A few days back we had seen how a suitcase was converted into a liquor cabinet. Today, we have an oil-can re-purposed into a cupboard. The big oil cans/drums called Schrank are handmade in St. Pauli with three shelves and a door [that gets closed with the help of magnets]. The cupboards can also be stacked one upon another and then fastened with a latch if more space is required.

Deckstool, a furniture piece that folds into a seat

Deckstool provides a new way to look at furniture structures with a capability to blend with the surroundings. A product of Dosuno Design, the Deckstool is a wooden mat that could be rolled to form a seat. When done, it is unfolded to serve as a mat! Shipping or moving these king of furniture seems quite easy as well. In all it is an interesting concept to think about.
