After almost a year, and after numerious customer requests, Microsoft finally launched the OneNote app specifically for the iPad. The company originally launched the iPhone version in January 2011, but iPad users weren’t too happy using the “2x” feature all the time. Also, doing that didn’t quite increase the screen “real estate”.
If you are wondering which one is faster, the new iPad 2 or the Motorola Xoom, then here is your answer. The folks at AnandTech, used GLBenchmark 2.0 test to measure the speed of the three devices…iPad(original), iPad 2 and the Xoom. It turns out that Apple’s new device is just blazingly fast. As AnandTech puts it, “There’s just no competition here.”
Ok…it is now (almost) official. Apple will be launching the iPad 2 on March 2nd. It should be interesting to see what will be Apple offering in the new device. After all it is no longer alone in the market. Samsung Galaxy Tab, as well as the upcoming Motorola Xoom, both are pretty strong contenders. However, you can certainly expect a much better screen resolution in the iPad 2, with a more powerful graphics engine.
