The above photo surfaced today and is rumored to be coming from a Germany-based online retail store. No matter what, I am sure most users accustomed to the Microsoft Arc mouse would surely find this interesting. The device may feature touch-based scrolling (possibly multi-touch!) and even includes a battery indicator. Price is steep though. At $70, it directly competes with Apple’s Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad.
Computer mouse comes in all kinds of colors, shapes and sizes. But what you see above is something rather unique. Canon, which we always thought to manufacture only printers and digital cameras, apparently makes other computer peripherals too. Their newest invention…the X Mark I, which is a bluetooth mouse that also works as a calculator. The device will be launched sometime in November this year.

This set of five multi-touch mouse prototypes seem to be crazy but may prove to the the future of computing. “Each one uses a different touch detection method, and at first glance all five seem to fly in the face of regular ergonomics.” The touch detections of the mice are perceived by technologies like internal camera, capacitive detection and even orb-housed IR cameras.
