Recycled Books welcome visitors at Architecture Library

There’s something special about this library’s information desk at TU Delft [Delft University of Technology] located in Delft, Netherlands. Looking closely, one finds that the structure actually comprises of an assortment of books piled together. In fact the desk at the department of architecture’s library, has been put together with recycled books.

Corrugated Art sends a message to all of us

We have seen artists being inspired by nature in some form or the other, leading to the creation of fabulous pieces of art [like beehouse lamp, bloom lamp, stalac table]. These beautiful works [above and below] are also related to nature but in a different way. They have been created to support the cause of recycling, an important subject nowadays, that is aimed at lessening the harm inflicted by humans on nature.

The Tape Measure Mat

We have seen a variety of recycled products here. From bags to lamps to even coats, the new products were simply awesome to look  at and of course very much useful. Here’s another one that reuses a bunch of colored measuring tapes to give rise to a bright colorful mat that can be used anywhere in the room or at the office.It is called the Tape Measure Mat.

Recycled Newspaper Shoe

Recycling has now become a must. Keeping in mind the benefits of recycling and upcycling we have come across a lot of such products [ like bags, lamps, fine jewelry, coats etc]. What we have today is a shoe made of recycled newspaper which has been plastic coated for longevity. Handcrafted by Chinese artisans these ballet flats use recycled Chinese newspapers woven into a fine lattice pattern.

Eco-friendly accessible wash basin for the kids

Designed exclusively for tots, this is the friendly monster wash basin Mons Lavado.This basin has been created keeping in mind the difficulty faced by the little ones in accessing normal wash basins which are generally way above their reach.The material of the wash basin is also earth friendly and hence also tot-friendly as it is made of Duralmond [crushed almond husks mixture] which is both biodegradable and recyclable.
