Dell Streak to be upgraded to Android 2.2

If you were unhappy with your Dell Streak’s Android 1.6, you will be relieved to know that Dell is finally pushing an over-the-air upgrade to Android 2.2 a.k.a. Froyo. Looks like the mega-screen experience just got a lot better! As Dell puts it “Android 2.2 available Over the Air with first use“.

Dell Streak soon to be launched in the UK

Dell has recently confirmed that the company will be launching the first production version of “Streak” in the UK, ahead of the planned launch in the US. The 5-inch Android device will be launched on June 4 with O2 being its official wireless carrier. It will also be available from Dell UK website soon later. The US launch will only be later this summer.

Dell demos the “Streak”, a 5-inch MID you may have been waiting for

Dell displayed it’s upcoming internet tablet for a short period at the CES 2010. Although the device called the “Streak” may be in production in the next months, there hasn’t been any confirmation from Dell yet. The device is basically a MID but it has been reported that it does have a 3G connectivity option (yay!). The tablet features a bright 5 inch display and have 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash.
