AT&T to buy T-Mobile USA for $39 billion

AT&T just couldn’t stand staying no. 2  (in terms of subscribers). In the race to become America’s largest wireless service provider, AT&T has decided to buy T-Mobile USA for a whopping $39 billion. AT&T currently has 95 million users, while Verzion leads the pack with 100 million. But now with an additional 35 million (from T-Mobile USA), AT&T will surpass Verizon (by far).

Verizon Wireless challenges AT&T

From the recent Verizon Wireless ad it is now clear. The company wants to show that the iPhone 4 will work the best only in their network. It says the iPhone 4 is beautiful, intelligent, genius, “but does your network work?”. Then the famous Verizon specs guy picks up the call and says, “yes, I can hear you now!”.

Verizon iPhone 4 pre-orders sold out

I guess this was well expected. Verizon customers have been dying to get their hands on the iPhone for a long, long time. No wonder the iPhone 4 has already been sold out from their website. However, not to worry, you can buy one soon when Verizon restocks their supplies on February 9th. You can even do the same from your local Verizon store the next day (February 10th).

The Verizon iPhone 4

The Verizon iPhone 4 has been announced as expected. Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam, confirmed that the CDMA version of the iPhone 4 is finally coming to the America’s largest wireless network, starting February 10. The phone is identical in terms of looks and features when compared to the AT&T GSM edition, the only difference being the CDMA technology in case of Verizon.

Verizon and Google teams up to make the iPad rival

Lowell McAdam, CEO of Verizon Wireless has revealed that the company is closely working with Google to come up with a new tablet computer. So, will this be a “win-win” for both Google and Verizon again? Well…we have seen Android phones piling up in the Verizon network and they all have been quite successful. This collaboration to build the “iPad rival” will only strengthen the bond between these two companies.
