What is Livbit?
Livbit a.k.a. LIVing BITs, is a social bookmarking website. Livbit.com relates to links/bookmarks primarily related to technology, science, gadgets & programming. The idea is to share content from any website on the web. They can be the largest online destinations to the most amateur blog.

How does it work?
When you surf the internet often you find an interesting link which you really want to bookmark/add to your favorites. One way you can store your link is to email the link to your own inbox, the other (and ofcourse, more organized) way is to use a bookmarking web application (like livbit.com). This helps to store your favorite links online, rather than on a particular computer. The best part is that you can access the links from anywhere and from any computer(connected to the internet). Also, if some other users like your link, they will vote for it.

Who is behind Livbit?
Amitava Sen is the founder of Livbit.com. He is a software consultant by profession and is an avid technologist. Amitava was a consultant in web technologies for Fortune 500 companies like CitiBank, Chevron, McGraw-Hill, WellPoint (Blue Cross Blue Shield) and Walgreens. He has bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Medical Engineering and currently resides near Chicago, Illinois.
