Good news for Firefox users, bad news for IE fanboys (if there are any). Looks like Firefox is right on track to “take back the web”. The browser exceeded 25% market share in the month of November, which actually stands at 25.1%. On a comparative scale all versions of IE (6, 7, 8 ) collectively has a 63.26% market share, dropping every day as we speak. Obviously, at this point it will be very hard for Microsoft to gain back any share, unless ofcourse IE9 comes up with something revolutionary (which is very unlikely).
In the meantime, just to let you know that collectively Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera make a decent 35.7%, which is huge considering what the situation was few years ago.[source: news.cnet.com]
